Relationship
In AA they suggest not getting into or out of a relationship for the first year of sobriety. For myself this doesn't seem the way to go. Although I haven't been sober for a year I feel it's time to share my life with someone else. It has been over a year since I've had a significant other in my life. Though my lonliness is nothing what it used to be there are times I look around the house and wish there were someone else to talk with or just get up at do something on the spur of the moment.
As much as it helps, sometimes calling up another AA member doesn't always seem to cut it. Now the question is where to meet someone. Since the bar scene is out of the question I feel kind of lost. Meeting someone who is a non-drinker could be a trick. Thought about someone in AA but I don't know if that would work. Two people working the program could be a plus or it could all go wrong if one relapsed. Maybe I'll check into an online dating service but that seems kind of odd!!
